Apple unveiled iOS 7 at WWDC, a flashy, colourful new operating system that begs the obvious question: when and how do I get it?
If you happen to be part of the iOS Developer Program, then the answer is now and by going to developer.apple.com, where the iOS 7 beta software and SDK are available immediately.
For everyone else, iOS 7 will be available as a free software update for iPhone 4 and later, iPad 2 and later, iPad mini and iPod touch (fifth generation) in the autumn. Some features may not be available on all products however.
It will be offered in US English, French and German initially, with additional languages being added over time.
You can take a look at its new features which include a translucent design, an ‘eyes-free’ in-car mode, an overhauled control centre and new camera functionality.
App store updates have been scrapped on iOS 7, which will update automatically in the background when you have internet connection.
