It wasn’t too long ago that a red version of the HTC One was spotted lurking on the internet, and now the colourful new shade is official. HTC will be bringing the crimson version of its 2013 flagship to the UK next month, although you won’t be able to pick it up just anywhere. HTC says that retailer Phones 4u will exclusively carry the red variant when it launches in mid-July.
There also isn’t any indication on what storage capacity this new model will come in, but given that the silver and black models are 32GB as standard, we’d imagine the red version will follow suit. Otherwise, specs remain unaltered. The HTC One features a 4.7-inch 1080p SuperLCD 3 display along with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM, and HTC’s 4-megapixel “UltraPixel” camera.
Phones 4u will be offering the red variant of the phone for free on £33 a month contracts, but there’s no word on whether the retailer will be offering unlocked handsets. If it does, though, expect to pay Phones 4u around £489.95, the current asking price for an unlocked HTC One on its website.
